Smart Storage Cleaner is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.
Data Collection
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any of your personal files or data. All scanning and cleaning operations happen entirely on your device. What we DON'T do: - We don't upload your files to any server - We don't track which files you have - We don't share any data with third parties - We don't collect file names, contents, or metadata What we DO store locally on your device: - App preferences (scan settings, thresholds) - Trash metadata (to enable file restoration) - Usage statistics for app improvements (local only)
Permissions
We request the following permissions: Storage Access: Required to scan and identify files that can be cleaned. We only read file metadata (size, date, location) for categorization. Notifications: Optional, used only to remind you about storage cleanup opportunities. All permission usage is local and no data leaves your device.
Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect: - Device identifiers for ad personalization - General location (country/region) - App usage patterns for ad frequency You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. We limit ad frequency to ensure a good user experience.
Trash System
When you clean files, they are moved to an app-managed Trash folder on your device. This allows you to restore accidentally deleted files within the retention period (default 30 days). Trash data is stored only on your device and is automatically cleared after the retention period expires.
Data Security
Since all data remains on your device, your files are protected by your device's built-in security. We don't have access to your files at any point.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app.
